Can i receive south american channels in Europe?

It is possible to receive a pay-tv package with south american tv channels on Hotbird 13° east (KU-Band). For more information please visit the website of the provider Olisat.

Another pay-tv package (from Televisa) is broadcasted on Panamsat 43° east (KU-Band). Subscription cards are available for example fom the german reseller MSG-Shop.

A international version of the brasilian tv channel Record (Record International) can be received free-to-air on Astra 28° east (KU-Band, version for europe) and Intelsat 27° west (C-Band, version for africa).

If receiving C-Band is an option then you should take a look at the channels on NSS 806. On this satellite there are many free-to-air channels from different south american countries. The minimum diameter for most channels is 180cm, if you want to receive all channels then you will need a bigger antenna.

More channels can be found in C-Band on Intelsat 50° west, Intelsat 55.5° west and Panamsat 58° west. Since these satellites are near the horizont in Europe a free sight into west direction is needed!
